FAQ · P1
Does setup install Ghidra / Hopper / IDA?
Short answer: REA does not ship a decompiler. It wires engines you already have (or explicitly approve).
What setup actually does
- Registers the REA MCP server with your coding agent client.
- May write investigation skills to a skills directory.
- May offer to help install or locate Hopper depending on host/docs — only with your approval; still not “REA embeds Hopper.”
- Ghidra and IDA are bring-your-own: install them yourself, export paths / MCP config, then
doctor --provider ….
